Farmers Market Joy

Sometimes when the alarm goes off after only 5 hours of sleep, I ponder why am I doing such an early farmers market when I had to work til midnight the day before. Saturday's market was one of those pleasant reminders why.

These two german ladies wheeled their mom in a wheelchair thru the market. They stopped at our table and were trying to engage their well dressed mom of frail health and had eyes closed and seemed non responsive. The daughters were happy on this sunny market day, seemed so relaxed talking to mom even though there was no return in dialogue. When they put the lavender in front of her nose, she woke up and spoke a little, looked around and then closed her eyes again.
The ladies were speaking in german so could only understand a few words and of course their voice inflection. Got the jist that Mamma reacted favorably to that fragrance, "Lets by her a bouquet".
So they bought a bouquet, wheeled her up to the table and exhanged money and had me hand mamma the bouquet. They took a few pics of this and i held mammas hand. She felt very weak. They took pics and the sisters seemed thrilled. I asked them to send me the photo as I would love to put it on my website if they wished. They seemed thrilled and will send whenthey return to Germany.
It was touching and inspiring to me. Fragrance is very nostalgic and it was wonderful to see mamma's reaction and I know that lavender will always bring happy memories of their mom for the rest of their lives.
